Online Data Science Programs in Connecticut
Quinnipiac University
The biggest online program in Connecticut is through Quinnipiac and their offering of a Master of Science in Business Analytics. Students will learn the SAS software suite as they are a partner of the program, and a business analyst certification in the programming language will also be given for those wishing to advance with further exams and certifications. 33 credits are needed to complete the program, separated into 24 core courses and 9 electives. Students will choose three of the following courses

Central Connecticut State University
An alternative to a full program is obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Data Mining at CCSU. This is an 18-credit curriculum that has three required courses and two electives. Core courses center around the introduction, methods, and application of data mining. Electives offer a customized education in the subject, such as genomics, text mining, and current issues. Other related subjects can be selected with approval of the program director. Prospective students need a Bachelor's degree and they should have completed prior coursework in statistics.
University of Connecticut
The School of Business offers a Master of Science in Business Analytics and Product Management. Unlike the other options, this is not fully available online, but it does have a flexible curriculum for full and part-time students. Courses are also delivered in a hybrid format with both on-campus meetings with online material and activities. There is a requirement of having a Windows-based laptop in order to run specific software in these courses.
An MSBAPM curriculum requires 37 credit hours in categories such as business analytics, project management, technical communication, and various electives -- examples include Big Data Analytics with Hadoop, Agile Project Management, and an Introduction to Deep Learning. Courses are typically held at the Graduate Business Learning Center in downtown Hartford and the Stamford campus. In order to be admitted into the program, students should have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Scholarship Opportunities within Connecticut
