The degree requires eight courses and 32 credit hours to complete, and full-time students can finish the curriculum in just over a half year while part-time students can obtain it within 16 months. The following eight courses are required for all graduate students, which covers all the standard data science subjects and culminates with an eight-week capstone project.

Regardless of anyone's background in science and technology, Bay Path offers any graduate student a chance to succeed with a Master of Science in Applied Data Science. There are two tracks that students can choose from: a generalist track that provides all-around education in the field of data science for anybody, and a specialist track that contains a more in-depth curriculum on statistics and data mining.

12 total courses, each worth 3 credit hours, are required to satisfy the degree requirements. The HarvardX Data Science program offers a Professional Certificate in Data Science through the edX platform.
