University of New Mexico
The School of Engineering offers a Master of Science in Computer Engineering with a specialization in the Internet of Things (IoT). This particular concentration focuses on various devices and machines that are interconnected to the network and have the ability to transfer data without the need for human interaction. Graduates will be able to understand foundational concepts and build upon this network, making it more efficient and secure, and finding ways to help businesses thrive and gain and advantage with this technology.
There are 31 credit hours needed to complete the program, and it is available completely online. Each class takes eight weeks to complete, and the entire program can take as little as 18 months to graduate from. Along with an introductory course, other required courses include Machine Learning, Foundations of Computing, Advanced Networking, and there is a graduate seminar at the end. Admission requirements include holding a Bachelor's degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and having prior coursework in programming and mathematics.

The Master of Science in Applied Statistics can be obtained through the College of Business at NMSU. The program requires 35 semester credits to complete, and the curriculum is divided up into various methods, consulting, theory, research, and electives. Example courses that students will be taking include SAS Basics, Analysis of Advanced Designs, Sampling Methodology, and Statistical Analysis and Consulting.
In order to gain entry into the program, prospective students must be approved through a number of prerequisites. Prior coursework in differential and integral calculus, statistics, and computer programming is either highly recommended or needed. At least a 3.0 GPA should have been maintained within the last two years of coursework.
