University of Oklahoma Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics

The Gallogly College of Engineering offers both a Graduate Certificate and Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics. Students have the option to complete these programs on-campus, online, or do a hybrid of both. For the full program, prerequisite courses are needed in calculus, linear algebra, and programming. There are two ways to complete the curriculum - the non-thesis version requires nine credit hours of electives on top of 20 credits worth of core courses, and four credit hours of professional practice. Up to nine credit hours of electives are needed to finish the program.

In order to be administered into either program, prospective students must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and submit all official transcripts, statement of purpose, resume, and three letters of recommendation. Undergraduates can elect to complete an accelerated pathway to get the MSDSA degree with up to 15 percent of shared courses that count toward both Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
