New England Institute of Technology Masters in IT

A Master of Information Technology is offered through the school at their main campus in East Greenwich, or completely online. The curriculum provides a blend of information technology and business management topics. 45 credits are needed to complete the program, and the only requirements are the following two courses, Advanced Project Management and Master's Project, are completed in the first and final semesters, respectively. Typically, students will take a course from both categories in each term.

Example courses include Managerial Finance, Law and Technology, Data Warehousing and Data Analytics, and Software Architecture and User Interface Design. Each course will take 10 weeks to complete, and there are four terms spread across the entire calendar year. It is possible to complete the program within 18 months. Courses will have weekly assignments, so the program is not fully self-paced, but coursework is typically asynchronous with minimal live meetings with faculty. The college is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education.

Online courses will still require full interaction with faculty and students, and there may be various research projects, debates, and similar activities that need to be completed. Students will need a Windows or Mac computer with access to Microsoft Office and broadband internet.
