West Virginia University MS Business Data Analytics Degree

The state's biggest public university offers an online Master of Science in Business Data Analytics through the College of Business and Economics. Students will be able to learn various techniques in data mining and organizing databases. It is recommended that students have prior coursework in statistics and programming, but there are no specific prerequisites. The curriculum consists of 10 online courses, accredited by both the Higher Learning Commission and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Classes include Foundations of Business Intelligence, Ethics and Data Collection, and Business Simulation Modeling and Data Visualization.

Students can learn a number of programs in the curriculum, such as Python, R, Tableau, and Hadoop. A specific program for WVU is the GoFirst Cluster, which provides an education using secure cloud computing. In order to be administered into the program, students will need to submit an application with fee, a resume, up to three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and GRE or GMAT scores unless they have at least five years of professional experience.
